The role
CME Recruitment is seeking an experienced Raw Materials Stores Supervisor for an established food manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will manage raw materials and packaging stores, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely material availability, compliance with food safety standards and effective supervision of the stores team.
Essential requirements
Matric essential
Approximately 3–4 years' relevant stores or warehouse experience
Supervisory or team leadership experience
Knowledge of inventory management and stock control
Understanding of FIFO, GMP, HACCP and 5S principles
Diploma in Supply Chain, Stores or Inventory Management advantageous
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
Supervise raw materials and packaging stores operations
Manage receiving, storage and issuing of materials
Ensure stock availability to meet production requirements
Maintain accurate stock records and material traceability
Coordinate stocktakes and investigate stock variances
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and safety standards
Lead, train and develop the stores team
Drive continuous improvement in stores operations
